So you’re fun and funky with a frivolous flair … artistic bouquets… not your ordinary bouquet…and you’ll want your wedding accessories to reflect your personality. A floral bouquet is a must have, but does it have to be so predictable? In a word, NO! Channel your inner non-conformist and create a one-of-a-kind floral fantasy wedding bouquet ideas.

To construct your vision, start by scouring the jewelry boxes of any female friend or relative willing to grant you access. Think about whether you want a monochromatic look or an eclectic, mulch-hued spray. You’re looking for vintage floral pins, the brighter the better! Look for big, bold pins with distinct petals and contrasting centers. Collect the rest of your supplies – Styrofoam ball, plastic bouquet handle, satin ribbon and tulle – at your local craft store, grab your glue gun and get started. Make sure you leave room for the handle, then unleash your creativity.

When looking for vintage floral pins, the brighter the better!

Wrap the foam with tulle shaded to compliment your colors. Position your enameled ornaments, largest to smallest, top to bottom, and all around the sides. The smallest of your finds can be tucked into vacant spots. When you’re content with your design, glue your trinkets in place. Ruffle tulle around the top of the handle, then twine your satin ribbon around for a final flourish.

Some brides prefer to stick with one color family, lively pinks and reds, shades of navy and cerulean, or rich violet, mauve and lavender.  Brides with a less formal theme may opt for a vibrantly lively mufti-colored approach. The former can set off a formal gown, while the latter has the casual look of an impulsively gathered bunch of wildflowers.  These bouquets are especially great if you’re doing a destination wedding or if you would like to have it as a wedding keepsake. If you prefer to have one made here is what we found while searching for ideas on Etsy for my own wedding, I came across two amazing sellers and I thought we would share them with you.

Whatever your style, a one-of-a-kind bouquet, reflecting your unique personality, is yours for the making.
